Minutes of the Meeting held at Shuttleworth Hall Egloshayle on Tuesday 17th December 2024 at 7.00 p.m.

Present
Cllrs Davey (Chairman), Danning, A.Eddy, S. Eddy, Howard, Knightley, Nicholas, Oram & C.Clr.Moorcroft.

Apologies – Cllrs Baker, C.Cllr Mould.

95. Declaration of Interests/Dispensation Requests. – Cllr. S. Eddy re Fencing quote.

96. Public Session
Cllr Moorcroft gave a local update and it was noted that work could take place on the Egloshayle By-Pass concerning the recurring road surface issues due to drainage/local spring water. There were also ongoing issues with debris from the adjacent building site at this location. Cllr Nicholas had been active reporting excessive fly posting locally. Cllr Moorcroft encouraged Cllrs to take part in Code of Conduct Training, commencing in the New Year.

97. Minutes of the Previous Meeting
Resolved that Minutes of the Meeting on Tuesday 19th November be approved as a correct record. Proposed Cllr Nicholas & seconded Cllr S.Eddy.

98.. Matters Arising
(a) Fencing (Cllr S.Eddy left the Meeting) – Cllrs reviewed the revised quote covering both King Georges Field and the Bridlepath entrance. It was proposed by Cllr Oram and seconded by Cllr A.Eddy that it be accepted at £2280. Agreed. (Cllr S.Eddy rejoined the Meeting)
(b) Bridlepath Entrance repairs – as agreed.
(c) NHP Update – nothing to report.
(d) Annual Precept – following agreement at the November Meeting the Clerk advised Cllrs of the potential Election costs next May, just released by Cornwall Council and substantially increased, should both Wards be contested. However it was noted that potential costs had been allowed for in the Precept discussion and therefore no revision was necessary.

PA24/05448- Nares Gladly Egloshayle – demolition & construction 3 houses – amendment – approved by C.C.

100. Payment of Accounts
(a) SeeClean - Bus Shelter Maintenance £57.96
(b) Impress51 - Management Fee 2025 £175.00
(c) Shuttleworth Hall - Hire £32.00
(d) J.L.Pomeroy - Salary/Expenses as contract
(e) HMRC - PAYE as contract
Proposed by Cllr Nicholas & seconded by Cllr Oram. Agreed.
The Clerk advised that claims for Grass Cutting and Local Maintenance Partnership payments had been received from Cornwall Council.

101. Correspondence Received – as circulated and
(a) Devon & Cornwall Police Alerts
(b) Cornwall Council Planning Newsletters
(c) C.C. – Newsletters and Updates,
(d) CAP – Camel Valley October Notes.
(e) Wadebridge Town Council & Cemetery – letter received together with invoices. This had been circulated to Councillors together with a draft reply. It was noted the voluntary agreement ceased in June 2022 as noted in Council Minutes pending further discussions. The reply to W.T.C. was agreed, with a request for up to date burial information for further review by Councillors.
(f) Camel Trail Partnership Meeting – the Clerk gave a report from the recent Meeting.
